A red wine grape originally thought to be indigenous to California. It’s a very interesting wine because its flavor can go from jammy berry, raspberry fruit to a spicy, peppery quality or a bit of both. It’s used to make a variety of wines from blush to dry, to ports. Zins are great with a variety of foods.
