Cabernet Sauvignon & Meritage
Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the most well known grapes. It’s found nearly everywhere in the world, but most famously in Bordeaux where it’s usually blended with Merlot and Cabernet Franc. In Australia it’s blended with Shiraz. Some flavors you may experience with Cabernets are black cherry, cedar, berry and black currant. Cabernet Sauvignons and their blends (more commonly known as Meritages) pair nicely with richer style dishes.
